Have you heard of a condition called trigger finger or trigger thumb? For all those who haven’t, it is a kind of stenosing tenosynovitis, where the sheath around a finger or thumb tendon swells up or a nodule is formed on the tendon. This results in having difficulty to straighten the finger once it is bent and on movement a soft crackling sound is heard.
